Overview
Cafe Quincy is a design focused coffee company that sells coffee, apparel, artwork and other accessory items. 65% of profits from each collection is donated to non-profits that work to aid those in need.
First Release
Quality whole bean coffee roasted in Richmond, VA and housed in an airtight leather wrapped metal package. The release went well selling out within the first day, and raising money for a local charity RVA Light.
Second Release
The goal was to play with the idea of alcohol packaging meeting Buttered Rum Cold Brew. The product was 750ml bottles of cold brew packaged in hand crafted wooden cases.The release went well selling out within the first day, and raising money for a local charity RVA Light.
Third Release
The Dark Honey Roast was a newsprint wrapped and strapped bag of quality whole bean coffee. The packaging gives the consumer the feeling of unwrapping a gift, from untying the strap to unfolding the paper it's truly an immersive packaging experience. Coffee and the apparel were sold out and restocked multiple times, raising money for the local charity Thrive, DC.
Conclusion
I've learned so much running Cafe Quincy, learning skills in packaging design, printing, prototyping, sourcing products, fulfillment, budgeting, web design, sales, and ultimately social outreach.
With Cafe Quincy, I’ve built out a brand that can act as a playground for design experimentation and get me involved with local communities.
